Silkscreen printed 2012 Calendar for romantics:
Black acrylic ink on 200gsm Gerstaecker paper, with spot colour added in ink by hand and a coloured paper cover silkscreen printed with white acrylic. There are five different cover colour shades to choose from. Each page is punched at the top and fastened with string so you can easily flip between months. There is a handy space on the right of each page for adding notes for that week/month and UK bank holiday dates are highlighted with spot colour. The calendars measure 11.5cm x 20cm.
The calendar-narrative is about a couple, who meet in January, and it tells the story of their year. Each month has references to the particular time or season; sometimes to do with nature, sometimes about how that time of year evokes certain feelings; and these references are interwoven into the couple's story. It's a little whimsical and a lot romantic.
